Volunteer Opportunity – Environmental Conservation

Pneuma African Foundation is seeking dedicated volunteers to support our Environmental Conservation Programs in Uganda and other African countries.
We are a faith-driven, people-centered international civil society organization committed to addressing poverty, inequality, poor health, and social exclusion through sustainable, community-based solutions.
What We Do
We work to:
- Promote environmental protection and sustainable natural resource management
- Support climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction
- Improve access to clean water, sanitation, and safe housing
- Raise awareness on environmental health and conservation
- Support community-based livelihood and resilience programs
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and implementation of environmental conservation projects
- Conduct community awareness and education on environmental protection and climate resilience
- Assist in tree planting, reforestation, and land restoration activities
- Promote proper waste management, sanitation, and pollution control
- Support water, hygiene, and sanitation (WASH) initiatives
- Assist in environmental data collection, monitoring, and reporting
- Work with community leaders and stakeholders to promote sustainable practices
- Support disaster preparedness and environmental risk reduction activities
- Prepare basic reports and documentation
- Uphold humanitarian values and the foundation’s mission and principles
Who Can Apply
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred: Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Climate Studies, Geography, Agriculture, Forestry, Development Studies, or related disciplines)
OR - Diploma in any of the above fields with at least 1 years of relevant work experience

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work with diverse communities and stakeholders
- Flexible, adaptable, and solution-oriented
- Strong problem-solving and planning skills
- Experience in environmental or community projects is an advantage
Eligibility
- Age: 25 – 65 years
- Strong passion for environmental protection and community development
