Pneuma African Foundation is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our Disaster Response and Humanitarian Aid Programs in Uganda and other African countries.

We are a faith-driven, people-centered international civil society organization committed to addressing poverty, inequality, poor health, and social exclusion through practical, community-based solutions.

What We Do

We work to:

• Deliver food, shelter, medical care, and essential supplies during emergencies
• Respond to natural disasters, conflicts, and humanitarian crises
• Support displaced persons, refugees, and marginalized communities
• Strengthen disaster preparedness and community resilience
• Promote human rights, safety, and protection during crises

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in emergency relief operations and humanitarian response initiatives
• Support the distribution of food, water, medical supplies, and shelter
• Conduct needs assessments and monitor community conditions during crises
• Collaborate with local authorities, NGOs, and community leaders to coordinate relief efforts
• Assist in setting up temporary shelters and health facilities
• Provide first aid support and basic health education where applicable
• Support disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and community training programs
• Collect data, document activities, and prepare reports on relief operations
• Advocate for the rights and safety of vulnerable populations
• Uphold humanitarian principles and the foundation’s mission

Who Can Apply

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred: Humanitarian Studies, Disaster Management, Public Health, Social Work, Development Studies, International Relations, Nursing, Emergency Medicine, or related disciplines)
  OR
• Diploma in any of the above fields with at least 1 years of relevant professional experience

Essential Skills

• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure in challenging environments
• Flexible, adaptable, and solution-oriented
• Experience in disaster response, humanitarian aid, or emergency management is an advantage
• Ability to engage with diverse communities and stakeholders

Eligibility

• Age: 25 – 65 years
• Passion for helping vulnerable communities during crises
